A titanium root, a tooth for life.
A dental implant is a small titanium screw that is surgically placed in the jaw bone to replace the root of a missing tooth. A porcelain or zirconia crown is then attached to it — looking and functioning like a natural tooth.
Unlike bridges, implants do not need neighboring teeth for support — we never grind down healthy teeth. Unlike removable dentures, they remain firmly in place and stimulate the bone the way a natural root does, preventing bone resorption.
